The average age of video game makers keeps going up
From Ubisoft to Nintendo to Capcom, there's a clear trend. Whether it's for better or worse is harder to see.
The gaming industry’s workforce is getting older, according to, well, just about every measure that tracks these things.
That’s according to Game File’s check of publicly available data from Ubisoft, Capcom, Nintendo, the International Game Developers Association and more.
And it comes with a notable milestone: the average age of employees at Nintendo Co. Ltd. cracked 40 this year, for the first time since the company began reporting the stat.
I’ve pulled some numbers to try to figure out what’s going on.
