I’ve just realised tonight that there hasn’t been a new gameboy since the 3DS. Do you think, with how mobile gaming is and how the switch is basically handheld, that there might not ever be another gameboy?
Nintendo release the handheld-only Switch Lite several years ago and I could see them doing that kind of variation again. They could even release a retro Game Boy a la the throwback NES/SNES/N64 from a bit ago. But a dedicated handheld line from them? Don’t see it. The only thing like that that anyone is doing is the Playdate, which is pretty neat.
